Kitchen guide

The KDS lives at <yourbrand>.khaonow.dev/kitchen. After pairing a tablet to a branch, the page stays live as long as the tablet is awake.

Three columns

• New — orders that just landed; tap “Accept” to move into Cooking
• Cooking — orders in progress; tap “Mark ready” when plated
• Ready — for pickup / dine-in: customer is notified to collect. For delivery: driver-dispatch surface picks up from here.

Card colour

• White — fresh
• Amber — over 15 min in current state
• Red — over 30 min, needs attention

Sound

A chime plays for each new order. Configurable per branch in admin. Mute via the speaker icon in the top-right of the KDS.

Modifiers

Each item shows its modifiers inline (e.g. “Smash Burger · Double patty · No pickles”). Long modifier text wraps, never truncates — the kitchen needs to see every detail.

Daily summary

End of shift, the KDS shows a summary card with order count, avg prep time, longest-prep item, and peak hour. Auto-archives at midnight in the tenant’s timezone.
